PBMax...birdshit...lots of it...please advise

Hey bro...I was installing my tonneau cover under a tree full of birds. They absolutey shitted all over my truck. This crap has damaged my previous car...it is like blueberry epoxy with jagged pebbles mixed in...

What is the best way to get this off without damaging the brand new truck?

Thanx...

I don't want to steal Pb's thunder but have you washed it off yet? The longer you wait the worse it's going to be.

Blast it off with a hose as soon as possible, if it sits too long it will actually etch the paint. If there are any light stains you can use a fine polish followed up with a wax.

Just relax. Wash it when you get home.

Use Klasse AIO to help remove any stubborn poops.

You can search on autopia.org forums. Basically get it off ASAP. If you do have some etching like ajglennon said use a fine polish or some Scratch-X and then I would get yourself some Klasse All-in-one and some sealant if this might happen on a regular basis. The acid in that bird crap will eat right through a wax and then through your paint.

It all depends on what the birds ate. Good luck.

I may be able to get home between 7 and 8 pm to try to hose it down...I am hesitant to use a rag with soap...even a microfiber...it is gritty poop...

I agree as well. I used to park under a tree and it left "red splatters of god knows what" on my roof. I could not remove them by soap and water. I tried so hard with soap and water that I left a little crease about 1/2 inch on my roof. Luckily I can barely see it. I was pissed!

I ended up using Klasse AIO and it worked like a dream! It got rid of the spots easily.

Hit is with a pressure sprayer on the way home, drop in a few quarters and take care off it, then you can hand wash it later on.

Blast off as much as you can with the hose. Then use a wash mit if you have one. Make sure you wash a small area and rinse the rag with the hose or in the bucket each time. Just use common sense when washing it. Pb can give you tips if you need to buff any etching out.

I think you should crap ON TOP OF the bird crap...I hear that will help dissolve the bird poo and keep your paint protected until you get home.
