Water Spots On Glass?

What Do You Guys Use To Get Waterspots Off Of The Winhsheild/glass? I Have A Bunch Of Hard Water Spots But Nothing Seems To Work, And When You Have Tinted Windows It Stands Out Even More.

Eagle1 20/20 glass cleaner works well for me. i don't have hard water spots or anything, but it cleans off pretty much everything. it's safe for tint as well.

Glass cleaner with vinegar, or plain vinegar. Works well for me, and we have very hard water.

I am a professional detailer and if you have water spots that wont come off with normal glass cleaner you can use any polish that is safe for your paint. Just apply it with 0000 grade steel wool and scrub.

Personaly I use pro glass polish you can find it at

I've used vinegar and sometimes it has worked well and sometimes not so well. I've wondered if carefully using something like CLR might work.

If your into detailing and have a claybar lying around, use that on the glass, it will clean it extremely well. But it's a tad explensive to go out and just buy a claybar to remove waterspots, money would be better spent on a glass cleaner, but if you got a claybar by all means use it. My buddy had one and i used it on my glass, worked very well.

Yeah, try vinegar first.

Chrome polish (not Aluminum polish) also works good at removing water spots. Plus it will leave the glass smoother, which will let the water run down and be less prone to new water spots.

I like NXT Glass cleaner. http://store.yahoo.com/autopia/meg-g-13324.html

testimonail!

After reading this, I checked in the garage and had some turtle wax chrome polish in the cabinet. Semi-doubting that this would work, I did the driver's side window. Not only did it work amazingly well, it squeaked it was so clean!!! Looks awesome!

***edit*** should read testimonial.

Try warm soapy water with a nice clean steel wool for those stubborn hard water spots.

Try the Meguiars NXT glass cleaner like PB mentioned (it is great)...but I kick it up a notch and use newspaper to wipe and buff the windows. Reason being the ink levels a smooth silky shine on the windows!

STAY AWAY from any type of steel whool or anythin that ruff on these trucks windshiled area.
Last summer I had some bugs on mine that wouldnt come off. I had a scotch bright sponge with a sponge on one side and a little bitt ruff green stuf on other side. It wasnt ruff at all. I put soap on it and wet it down..then hosed the windshield. I scrubbed it and now my glass is scratched. You cant see it unless you are sitting in the truck and hits certian light but its amazing how soft it was to get scratched by something like that.

I tried the vinegar a few weeks back, got nothing but smelly hands. Did all the windows and mirrors last night with chrome polish, unbelievable. I could feel the rough spots as I was applying the chrome polish and when I wiped it off, every window was squeaky clean. The clarity is unbelievable...like brand new.
