Inside or out? Are they streaking? What kind of towel are you using?

For the interior, try using any kind of wax. Just like how you wax your paint. For the outside try chrome polish.

it's the outside. i haven't gotten a towel like you said before, so i've just been using paper towels for now.

i should try chrome polish on the windows? could you give me a link to what you personally use? basically i need some heavy duty stuff. i used rainx about a year ago or so, and it has messed it up.

Yeah, chrome polish should get that Rain X off. Just get a foam applicator and work it in circles on the glass. Try not to get it on the rubber trim. Then buff it clean with a towel. I think I use Mother's chrome polish. Most auto parts stores should carry it. Any brand should work though. Make sure it's chrome polish, not aluminum polish.

Wax is OK on tint, but don't use polish. Don't use a Wax/cleaner either.

Sometimes after I have waxed my truck, i will take the buffing towel that I used to remove the wax, and I will wipe the windows with that towel. The wax residue on the buffing towel will transfer to the windows, and get 'em clean and smooth. Then wipe the windows with a new clean towel.

Speaking of a wax/cleaner, would a coat of Zymol cleaner wax on top of NXT paste wax strip the NXT? Also, is there any benefit in layering wax this way without stripping each coat before applying the next?

A cleaner/wax should only be used as a base. Cleaner wax has abrasives in it, like a light polish, and it would take off wax, if you put it on top.

You should put the NXT on top of the Zynol, then a few hours later you could add another coat of NXT wax if you wanted.

What's a good cleaner to use on tint? Would normal glass cleaner work or does it need something different?

I like Meguiars NXT Auto glass cleaner. Just make sure whatever you use doesn't have ammonia in it. Ammonia will fade the tint.

PB...if I get the Sonus SFX pad kit for the PC, what towels do I need to buy after that...?

I don't want to buy the full blown towel kit if I don't need polishing and buffing towels and whatnot. I am thinking (in addition to a wool wash mit) I only need sonus drying towels and Sonus detailing towels, not the buffing and polishing towels. Am I right?

and maybe this one http://www.autopia-carcare.com/mf-cbt.html
