NXT glass cleaner isn't a real strong cleaner, but it does leave a nice streak free finish. If your windows are real dirty, you might need a few extra sprays. It evaporates pretty quick in the sun, so wipe quick.

With two sprays of the NXT cleaner and one quick wipe, its clear, crystal clear. I suspect this product will last me a long time. I also picked up a microfiber towel for specifically for my interior. Always made in Korea!

My guy has been tinting windows for over 10 years... uses high quality tint... he told me never to use any cleaner... soapy water... thats it.

So IMO, dont use any cleaners... just a wet paper towel or microfiber. No cleaners.

I would think the exterior glass would need the stronger cleaner than the interior. Therefore you could get away with soapy water for the tint side (interior).

X2

The avoidance of ammonia has more to do with it affecting the adhesive than affecting the film. When I removed some tint on my Paseo, I hit the adhesive left behind after peeling the film off with Windex. Spray it, let it sit for a bit, then razor blade. Turned the adhesive into a nice sludge.

That's good to know. I've never removed any tint, or used ammonia on tinted windows.

More tint info...

The use of Windex is not the reason why tint turns purple. The sun fades a layer or layers in dye based film, with the resulting color being purple. The 3M tint I had in my Paseo that I stripped off was from late 1991. It was purple. It never had Windex touch it. Only water, soapy water, and some window tint cleaner that the installers gave me.

Alot of people argued with me about that. I would just roll down my window and show them the top ¼" of tint that goes into the door frame. Still grey tint. Some still argued that I just cleaned with Windex and not rolled the window down to do that edge. MMMMkay.
