Hold off on the razor. Try the heat gun and your fingernail first. Then clean off the sticky with Goo Gone. You might need to polish afterward too. Then wax.
BTW, those scratches on the top of your bumper can be fixed with some polish and a buffer.
Im with the razors.....Safe effective, and a "must have" in your detailing arsenal.....
I use metal ones where I can get away with it, but the rigid plastic are nice also....
Thanx for all the comments, where would i get the plastic razors i have a metal one but am afraid ill scratch the paint, even though my paint is crap anyways lol. K well i'll try it and let you know how it goes.
OK so i tried that stuff today and i could swear it fused to the paint...dammit...tried warm water and blow dryer didn't work, Try'd Goo Gone and fingernail..then with a plastic scraper...man stupid sticker...anymore ideas?????
I say give it some more heat, and use the scraper at the same time. If you can, try to find a heat gun to borrow. A hair dryer doesn't really get hot enough.
I've never used it, but I think AutoZone sells a sticker remover called Sticker Shock. You could try it.
Most sticker removers are very similar... a lot like WD-40. I just poured that shit on and went nuts on it with a plastic scraper... of course mine was on the bumper, not on the trunk which is metal.
Yeah, if your CAA sticker is made the same way my AAA sticker was (not a regular bumper sticker) its gonna be a bitch.
The label been on the car for some years and I never really thought about getting it off until it was too late I guess. Its been on the there since 1993 and I tried to take it off a month ago... hopefully I thought the weather was going to help me out a little bit but I guess the weather wasn't any help at all.
