05 Taco, Touch Up Paint/Exterior Plastic Detailing

I can't find any local stores. That has the paint, for my 2005 Tacoma Silver. I think the # is 1E7, i think. I have to double check...

Where can i buy it? Just a small amount.

Also, how do you make your exterior plastic covers/panels/mud flaps....SHINE? Because i have plastic side steps, and when dirt goes on it, gets light brown with dirt spots etc....

How do i properly clean it and make it shine, look as new?

My dealer had touchup paint for under $5 a bottle. I don't know how accurate the colors are. I ordered a paintpen kit from paintscratch.com with custom matched paint and clearcoat. I think it was about $26 shipped. They need your vin number.

I'm curious about the plastic shining too. I haven't put anything on my mudflaps yet. I don't want them looking like wet shine, but just maintaining their original dark black without spots would be good. I also have some plastic on my tube steps.

You gotta ask for it. I would get the touch up paint from the dealership if you can. It's an exact chemical match.

To add a little "blackness" to the mudflaps and stuff, I just use a light interior protectant. 303 Aerospace is good, of course. It will add some moisture to the plastic, but not make them too greasy, where dirt will stick to it.

I sometimes spray the protectant on an old rag and then wipe it on the mudflaps. A foam applicator can layer it on a little heavier if you want it to look a little more shiny.
