Question A few questions before I start detailing

Got a few questions before I attempt to detail my truck this weekend, well that is if I get time *crosses fingers*.

1. I should wash my rims, wheels, and tire wells first and use a seperate wash bucket for this?
2. Is there any recommended pattern to wash a vehicle such as starting from the top and working down. Guess what I'm asking is what pattern is the best way to go?
3. Is it necessary to wash after claying?
4. When applying the AIO is there anything other than the paint, such as my chrome bumper, that I should apply it to and do I only need to apply one coat?
5. If I find time to apply the SG then I need to wait till the next day, correct? If time doesn't permit can I apply it a week later?
6. Should the 303 protectant be apply to anything black on my truck, such as the grille, and all rubber pieces?

Well I believe that is all my questions at least for now.

If you do your wheels first, use a separate mitt and bucket water than you use for your paint. Othewise do you wheels last.

Start from the top and work down. Or you can do the hood first and then go up to the roof and then do it in this order: windows, front fenders, upper part of the doors, bed, tailgate, grill, bumper, lower part of the doors and fenders, rear bumper, rocker panels, nerf bars, wheels.

The reason I do the front grill and bumper towards the end is because there's usually bugs and stuff on the front of the truck. You want to rinse out your mitt after doing each portion of the truck, but it's still a good idea to do the dirty and "buggy" parts of the truck toward the end.

I never wash after claying. Some guys do, but I don't think it helps any. Your paint should be totally clean after claying, IMO. I don't see what you'd be washing off.

You can apply klasse to chrome, and also your wheels.

Wait until the next day to put anything over the AIO. You can wait a week if you have to, just be sure to wash it real good before applying any SG or wax. It might not have a totally uniform finish, but the SG will fix that. In my opinion, AIO does not really look that good by itself. It's mainly for protection. SG is what makes it look more shiny. And carnauba on top of SG will add even more shine and depth.

303 can be put on anything rubber or plastic. On shiny plastic I will usually wipe it afterward with dry cloth to smooth out the finish and spread the 303 evenly.

Thanks for answering all my questions. I picked up some P21s wax that I plan to apply monthly. Some of my co-workers think I've lost my mind when I start talking about everything I am gonna do to detail my truck.
