Leather Seats

How do you proplery clean them?

My driver side is getting pretty dirty, has a little lite brown shading almost . I'm the only one who rides in my truck. So i can see which seat is a dirty and not.

Thanks!

Leather cleaner...

but seriously, buy some leather cleaner/conditioner/shampoo from your local auto parts store, a couple microfiber type rags and have at it.

A leather cleaner/conditioner will work good. I do mine about once a month or two. I use Griot's interior cleaner on my steering wheel and shift knob. The leather feels a lot cleaner and softer after a cleaning. To clean them I got a rag and got it pretty wet with the cleaner/conditioner, and then just wiped it all down. You could see dirt and oil on the rag. Eew. Then I wiped it dry. Then I applied another coat of it, but didn't wipe it off. This will condition and protect the leather.

BTW, Never use anything oily on your steering wheel.

i guess maybe weekly is a little too often to do the seats. But since its a used car, and i don't know who's been sitting in it before me, i've cleaned the leather every week (two weeks) so far. I've been using Armor All leather conditioner in a spray bottle. I can see dirt coming off on the rag.
What is a reccomended non-oily leather cleaner for the steering wheel and shift knob?

http://www.griotsgarage.com/search.j...x=0&search.y=0

I use interior cleaner from GriotsGarage.com, but I'll have to go to AutoZone and see what they have on the shelf because I know that most people don't want to order detailing stuff online.

Leatherique is the absolute pinnacle product of leather care. Just do a search for it on Autopia or something. I've never seen ANY product clean and restore leather so well.

I used 9 to 1 water and woolite mix and a MF towel! Cleaned really well, I couldn't believe how dirty my leather was...the mixture was nasty..then I applied Meguiar's Rich Leather Aloe Conditioner...I was pleased with the results!

I got this idea doing a search on the web!

I've been very happy using Lexol for leather cleaning/protection, and you can find it in many auto parts/detailing stores.
