Have you tried a Clay bar? It also helps if you use a detailing spray and really soak the front of the vehicle and let the bugs soften up for several minutes.

Also, today I bought this stuff at PepBoys for half price. $3.50 for a 28 ounce bottle. Long Haul degreaser/bug remover. It looks kind of redneck and gimmicky, but it seems to work pretty good on what few bugs were on the front of my truck. I haven't gotten to really test it yet because all my vehicles are so clean. I'm pretty sure that this stuff will remove any wax that's on your paint.

I drove through some Mulberrys today, so I'll see how well this stuff cleans my wheel wells.

It says that it works good on bugs. You might want to check it out, if you live near a PepBoys.

I use that too. Especially on the front of the 07 Camry's. It is like a WALL for bugs. I spray it on and let it soak then I run it through a touchless car wash...works pretty good. It does take off your wax tho...

Don't know if this method will work on cars, although I don't see why not.

After going on a long ride on my motorcycle (sportbike) my buddies and I would end up with the front fairings covered in bug splat.

The way we got the bugs off was to soak a kitchen towel (for a car probably a bath towel) in really hot water from the sink, wring out the excess and the apply the towel to the front of the bike's fairings.

After about 10 minutes the bugs and guts are all softened up and you just wipe them away.

Works like a charm, plus you aren't using any chemicals or anything.

I would think that it would work just as well on the front of your car/truck. This way you aren't doing any excessive scrubbing.

Yeah soaking the bugs helps a lot. Hot water or a quick detailer.

If you've got a degreaser for your barbeque or your engine, use that. It works.

Degreaser on paint? Hmmm....won't that harm the paint?

It could. I'm not sure I'd try it.

You could also try a power washer. Ive tried all the bug cleaners that are around and none of them seem to work all that well.
Just make sure its an electric power washer, not a gasser. The gassers put out so much PSI that you could literally peel the paint right off if you arent carefull!
