Canada Nu Finish Scratch Doctor

Has any one used this Nu Finish Scratch Doctor? Does it work well? I have very small scratches around the bumper, and want to take them out.

It doesn't work as well as polish and a buffer, but it should help hide the scratches. How deep are the scratches? Can you feel them with your fingernail?

Wipe the product with a foam applicator at a 90 degree angle to the scratch. Don't rub in circles. Scratch Doctor is abrasive so don't press too hard and check your work often

They should just be able to sand it, prime it, add the color and clear coat and blend it into the original paint with no problems. Body shops do this all the time without any problems.

Inspect closely... again... it looks like you have paint transfer from another object.

Run your fingernail over it... is it raised or recessed? If raised, you have paint transfer; if recessed, you've got a scratch. You may indeed have a little of both.

If in doubt, check with a jeweler's loupe or a magnifying glass.

If it's raised or seemingly smooth, I'd try a clay bar -- an aggressive one if you've got it... it may take a bit of work, but give it a try. I'd then try a cleaner wax with some good polishes like Mothers Carnauba Cleaner Wax (included in the Mothers clay kit), or a straight Pre-Wax Cleaner or a Polish.

If it's scratched, try a scratch remover and wax it afterwards.

If it's a little of both, clay first and then use scratch remover and then wax.

A Dremel is not recommended.

If you're missing basecoat (blue), you're going to have to get it repainted to prevent rust.

Take it to a trusted detailer and/or body shop or two for an opinion and an estimate.
