I've been looking through the threads and PoorBoy's Spray and Gloss seems to be the favorite of detailing guru Pb. This spray is supposed to be used to sweep away very light dust, dirt, fingerprints and at the same time add a just waxed gloss to the paint.
Here in hawaii I have to keep up the wax on my paint more often since it's always so hot and sunny here. Does this Spray and Gloss add to the wax or does it just clean w/o stripping the wax? I'm wondering whether I should get this or the PoorBoy's Quick Wax Plus(QW+) which says it also lifts dust, fingerprints and smudges.
Some people recommend using those, its a tad expensive for a simple bottle of Quick Detailer though. I haven't tried Poorboy's Spray and Gloss, but I've been through quite a few bottles of Meguiar's Quik Detailer and it works great. Works great on the P21S wax as well.
I recommend using a car duster, such as OXO Good Grips Car Duster, to wipe off the first layer of dust. Next use the Quik Detailer with a microfiber towel.

I never used the car duster, but I'd be careful when using it. The dust it wipes off could cause some minor scratches on your paints surface. Maybe for extremely light dust, but any more then that a rinse off w/ water would be a better option followed by a wash. Maybe I'm just a little paranoid though, idk.
I have a California Duster but I don't use it. Even on a really clean surface it left microscratches on my black paint. You always need some kind of lubrication when cleaning off your paint, which is the main reasons for using a QD spray. The other reason for using QD is for the light layer of protection and gloss that they leave behind.
Thankfully, there is one store that I've found on Oahu that carries PoorBoy's items, but it's practically on the other side of the island. Meguiar's QD is available everywhere, so I'll probably use Meguiar's QD for now and hope to get the PB S&G the next time i'm in the Salt Lake area.
Mahalo for all the replies...hopefully I'll get some pictures up when I get my truck.
Another Q:
Are the QDs ok to leave on the auto's finish? i.e. when you clean up bird poop off your hood but overspay gets on dusty parts around that area. Is it ok to just wipe off the bird poop and leave the rest of the QD around that area until the next wash a few days later?

Instead of leaving QD on the paint I would just spray the whole panel and clean it off. But I don't think leaving QD on the paint would hurt anything, I guess. I always wipe it off though.

Word. I spray and wipe off, works wonders. Black Magic is my preference for darker colored cars, and Meguiars Quik Detailer or NXT Speed Detailer work well also. But in my experience, nothing has worked better on a black car than Black Magic Wet Shine Spray Detailer. It smells SOOOOO GOOOOOD too
You can leave the QD on the panel if its just a little overspray. It will simply stain like a water spot but will wash off with a little water or some more QD
