autogeek.net order..me too!

Alright, I finally got my Tacoma and the guys at Servco Auto Honolulu did a great job detailing it except for a small streak of grease stained onto the front of the glove compartment.

The paint is as perfect as I think it can get coming from a dealership. Very few swirl marks and slick as butter.

The body has no dents whatsoever or waves in the metal!

Can you all help me put together a package to help me get started?

Alright, I plan to order from autogeek.net for the first time, but I have a budget to work around so I gotta limit myself to the bare esssentials, but I am going to splurge a little and get a PC7424.

I'm really excited to try the Klasse AIO and SG.

What should I buy?

Thinkin...So...
1. the PC
2. the Klasse AIO and SG (16.9oz of both)
3. a 20"x40" waffle weave MF towel for drying after washing
4. Some PoorBoy's S&G (32oz.er) cuz everyone just luvs it
5. am i missing any thing?

Got my Meguiar's GC.
Mother's clay I'll try to get locally.
I'm gonna use Beauty Shine #502 100% pink Brazilian carnauba wax.
Already have a whole bunch of MF clothes for the removal of the AIO, SG, and Nuba wax.

Ohh! I have no idea what pads for the PC I need for the Klasse applications and the carnauba wax... then after that, I think that's it?
Sorry for the crappy pic

So far, my bill which is already $203.56 (and shipping will add another $20!)

I would order some Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. Its very easy to apply and take off. I think it looks better then the Klasse SG. Not sure if its as durable but it looks better and its much easier to remove. You will need a polishing pad for the Klasse and a finishing pad for the carnuba. If you have some light swirls you might want to get a bottle of the Poorboys SSR 1 to remove them.

Doubt you'll be needing any pads for the PC for polishing yet, so I won't go into those. But a blue pad may be needed if you're going to be applying klasse w/ the PC. As for the carnauba, a black pad will do.

Though since it looks like you have a darker colored truck, you should look into using either a glaze, durable carnauba base, and a carnauba topper or something a bit more relfective then klasse. don't get me wrong though, the klasse twins are great, but on my silver and white, it looks a bit sterile.

Oh, btw. You should check out www.pakshak.com They're based here in Hawaii and have relatively the same selection as autogeek (minus the foam pads). Havent compared prices, but shipping is relatively low, and it comes pretty quick.

I'm just going to try the Klasse twins.
I really don't know what pads to get..I've never owned a PC and don't know how the pads attach or what pads will fit the best. Seems, with all the assortments of pads, some screw on and some overlap something that I hope comes with the PC(in this case, which will fit? They offer 4"-7.5" pads)

Can I get some links to the exact pads I should use for the AIO, the SG, and then for the wax?

Thanks so much

You should get this.

It has everything you need to get you going, except the polishes!

http://www.autogeek.net/hk7424.html

BTW: Don't forget to type "autopia" in the coupon box for some discount on your order!

The top link is good.

I would just get a kit that has the buffer, backing plate, and some pads. Edge or Lake Country pads are good. Ya might as well get the pads now and get it all shipped at once and save on shipping. AutoGeek is pretty good on shipping prices for big orders. I've never paid over $17 shipping, and that was on a $400 order.

Haven't ordered yet.
Been busy at work and still getting things in order.
I've been trying to get the PC for cheaper and I think I plan to get it from Amazon.com because of the cheaper price($119) and free shipping.

FYI, I found out that Meguiars has waffle towels called the "Water Magnet" that are pretty economical.
Check it out!...$8.99...You can buy two at your local checker's instead of one from autogeek.com...etc.
Has anyone tried them? They seem to dry my black paint well and don't see any micromarring yet .

I finally think I got my order complete.
My PC is on its way from amazon.com for $119.
From Autogeek.net, I am about to order:

2 of each 6.5" Lake Country Mfg. pads(blue, grey, white, and orange, I don't think I need a heavier yellow cutting pad for my new paint),

5" flexible backing plate

PoorBoy's S&G

Meguiar's GC Endurance Tire Protectant Gel, since I can't seem to find it any where here in Honolulu.

And PoorBoy's SSR1 ro remove the micromarring every so often.

Did I forget anything???

Also, does anyone know if I use the PC to apply the Klasse AIO, if it will remove any of the micromarring or do I need a light cutting polish like the SSR1? because the AIO is supposed to be a polish, right?

Almost ready!!

Sounds like a good order. AIO has a little polishing ability. It might be able to remove some minor marring, but I would still get some SSR1. You might want to add a bottle of SSR 2.5 to your order, in case you happen to get some scratches or etching. It'll come in handy eventually.

I love Autogeek!

Btw, if you register on their forums, you'll get a once time use code for I think 15% off.

And you can ALWAYS use the coupon code "SFR" (for southfloridaracing.com) to get 10% off.
