3rd Generation using clay bar

Hi TNers,

I'll be detailing my car tomorrow, '95 camry. I'm the 2nd owner. The first 10 yrs the car was parked in a car port;always in the shade. It has been in an enclosed garage since I bought back in Jan 05.
Is it neccesary to clay bar the sides of the car,aka doors, fenders, rear panels. I'll be doing the hood, roof, and top of trunk. Thanks for your opinion.

Prob wouldn't hurt to do everything. Least in your mind you'll know that your car has been thoroughly cleaned.

I would definately clay every painted surface on the car. Look at it this way, you wouldn't half wash your car would ya?

Yeah, clay all the painted surfaces. It doesn't take that long. It will get the paint good and clean before you wax.

Clay bars are absolutely the best detailing practice/procedure that you will ever do. Just follow instructions and go after it.(Plenty info on clay baring on the internet) Your car finish will be smooth as glass!

Why not do the whole vehicle? It only takes a few extra minutes. I guarantee that there are some contaminants on your doors if you have never clayed them before.
