Klasse AIO and SG application?

I am still a bit confues as to how each should be applied and to the lenght of curing. So here are my steps

1. Wash and dry
2. Clay
3. Polish as needed
4.1 coat of AIO
5. 2-3 coats of Sg
6. 1 coat of carnauba

My qyestion is that between 1st coat of AIO, to SG, how long should i wait? 24 hours? NExt day? 48 hours...still confused Please help. Should the smae time be used to wait in between sg coats and carnauba wac as well? Thanks

I've heard different responses from people. Though after AIO you should be able to move directly to SG. Though you should wait at a minimum of 12 hours in between each coat of SG. Also the longer you let SG sit before buffing off, the better the results and removal (haven't tried it yet though)

I believe you need to wait at least 12 hours before applying SG over the AIO. This was one of the things that persuaded me from using AIO.

Not sure about the pads but to clear up the confusion if it's not humid you might be able to apply the SG after the AIO within 12 hours. If you have humid weather there should be at least a 24 hour wait between each coat for it to properly cure. Bottom line if in doubt do the 24 hour procedure.

I used the white pad which is the middle one as far as soft for doing the AIO. I put the SG on by hand with a foam applicator and you have to make sure you put it on pretty lightly or you'll have a heck of a time getting it off!

Here's a great how-to and it addresses the PC near the bottom:

Apply AIO, and you can apply a second layer of AIO directly on top if you feel your paint is still a bit oxidized. Afterwords, you can apply SG DIRECTLY AFTER AIO, with no wait time. But you have to wait 24 hours between each SG.

Did you even read the thread?

You can't apply anything on top of the AIO until it cures.

Also came across this...

http://www.properautocare.com/inwiklusa.html

Q. Should you wait between applying multiple coats of HGSG?
A. The first coat of HGSG can be applied immediately over a base coat of All-In-One. After that, it's best to wait 8 to 12 hours between coats of HGSG. We have customers with show cars (not daily drivers) that will wipe on a coat of HGSG one day, buff it off the next day and immediately apply another coat. They'll do this every day for a month, literally putting on 30 coats of HGSG over a 30 day period. This sounds crazy but I've seen some of these cars and they're absolutely breathtaking!

Not me...I waited I think close to 48 hours between AIO and SG. Then 24 hrs between SG coats. Oh...and I'm a she!

You can read the process I did in the show your truck thread stickied on top or http://toyotanation.com/forum/t130714.html

I always wait between coats of AIO or SG, but honestly I've never tried to apply anything on top of AIO until the next day, so I don't know from experience what would happen if you applied multiple coats without curing time.
