Question How long does a coat of Gold Class Liquid Wax last?

^^^^^^ I'm guessing about a month. Is it okay to apply two coats so I can skip waxing next month?

MAybe a month. Two coats wont last 2 months. Most people apply 2 coats to ensure even coverage all over. If your looking for something that lasts a long time, Try All in One and Klasse Sealant Glaze.

Yea - adding a second coat won't double the life of the wax, but it will help a bit. I've used it in the past and got about 6 weeks out of it. You might also be able to extend the life by using a QD spray after you wash it.

I've used the Gold class on top of 4Star, and have been happy with the combination and the extra durability and life of the synthetic.

Indeed, using some kind of quick detailer really helps. I use Meguiar's QD on waxed cars. I did my parents' Avalon a full detailing ending with NXT wax last April (that was 4 months ago) and using Quik Detailer every week since and it's still very good looking and smooth, water still sheeting nicely.

I use Gold Class on my car, actually I use all Meguiar's products on my car. But for the after wash I used a new product with GREAT Success. It is Dupont Quick Care Detailer. It has Teflon built into it and man it does wonders.

While the car is wet you simply spray over the paint and wipe the water off with either a towerl or chamois. Once you have done the whole car you will notice some places have almost a streak looking thing, like when you get tire wet overspray on the car. Simply take a dry microfiber cloth and wipe the car over good. This works in the Teflon and essentially puts another coat on the car. I started using this over a month ago and what a difference. I used to use Eagle One Wax As U Dry but alls that did was make the paint smooth. This product from DuPont actually rids your car of the swirl marks and other small fine scratches that can develop between washing and waxes. Man I love this product! you can use it wet or dry! Its not removing the swirls. It may cover them up for a short time. To actually remove them they have to be polished out.

Wax tends to evaporate faster if it's in direct sunlight often.

Typcailly applying more then one layer does mean for better coverage. It doesn't double the life of it.

The Klasse AIO and SG combo does last pretty long, people say AIO lasts up to 6 months. Klasse SG is typcailly applied with 2-3 layers for proper coverage since you apply it thinly for easier buffing.

If you want proper waxing times, I'd say wax it every other wash you do, just apply one simple layer for every other hand-wash you do and it should work/last/look great.
