I made this little video to show you how I polish. Normally I would take a little more time polishing the paint, but for uploading sake I sped up the process a little. If you have swirls you'll want to move slower than I am in this video. My paint is in almost perfect condition, so I didn't need to work the polish as much. Anyway, this should help you see how it's done. This is a polishing video, not waxing. Waxing doesn't need to be this thorough.
When I first use the pad I spray it with some QD to moisten the pad a little. After the first application you won't need to moisten the pad any more. With Sonus SwirlBuster Polish the buffer speed is higher than what you would normally use with most polishes. With SwirlBuster Polish I spread the polish around on speed 4, then step up to speed 5, then finish with speed 6.
I really like it. It's one of the best products I've tried in a long time. It does make a lot of polish dust, but that's no big deal. Just mist some QD on a towel and it will pick up the dust. I just used SwirlBuster on my whole truck today. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.
Most people with regular paint swirls will need to cover the panel about half as fast as I did in that video. I did that area in about 1.5 minutes. You should spend at least 3 minutes doing an area that size. Take your time and really work it in until the polish starts to disappear or make dust. I just had to speed up the process for the video uploading-sake.
Hey Pb,
Just got my PC and the counterweight that it came with says to "use 5 inch pad only". I plan to buy a 5" backing plate and 6.5" pads for my polishing and waxing. Will this combo of parts work fine? Maybe I should get the bigger counterweight for the 6 inch pads for $3.99?
Nice video!!
Helps us newbies get familiar with the PC.

I wouldn't worry about it. That counterweight works fine for any size pad.

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda
