Chrome Rims, I see Some kind of Rust...

I just had my chrome rims like this past May. Just the other day, i notice on my rims. I see alot of spots, looks like rust spots. Mostly in the hard to reach crack areas, and behind. But i dont see any brown color, of how rust looks like... The spots are like a size of a pen dot....

I wash my truck like 2-4 times a week and polish my rims 1-3 times a week.

Any idea what it is and how can i take it out!

I was totally blown away when i seen it

I don't know what it might be but have you tried using a claybar to take it off?

Try using a clay bar. I wouldnt think it was rust considering the way you take care of your ride! NIce truck by the way!!

you say you don't see any color...does it look like the it is still chrome on these spots? is it a bump or just a stain? almost sounds like a re-chrome job that didn't get a thourough prep job. just like paint, the surfaces need to be perfectly smooth and all spots sanded off before chroming. in hard to reach area they may not have preped well enough.

Even if you clean your vehicle a lot, you can get rust on your ride if the conditions are right. A little metal dust and some moisture is all it needs. I would clay and polish the wheels. Maybe try a Mothers PowerBall and some chrome polish. Your wheels are chrome right? Not aluminum? Only use chrome polish on chrome.

Just put some polish on the PowerBall and go for it. Start out slow so that you don't sling polish all over the place. Once you get up to full speed the polish really starts working.
