UK Quik Tip for bug splatter removal

we went to Orlando this week and rented a huge RV. anyways the frent end of the RV has alot of surface area and is flat, so it met up with the "love bugs" the entire front end was completely covered with splattered bugs. so at home this morning, we cleaned it up. i found that using "grease lightning" was a great thing to use. just spray it on and scrub with like a scrubbing pad or towel or whatever and they came off just like that and then rinse with water. the front end looked completely clean. dont know how strong the stuff is but just thought i would chime in and tell ulot that it is great for removing the front end bugs.

Greased lighting is the bomb...Yes it is strong. It'll clean things alot of stuff doesn't...I've been using it for years, but I wouldn't dare use on my auto body/paint. There alot of products to clean bugs off the finish. I usually just use a pair of panty hose and soap and water!...You probably had more bugs than I usually get tho!

I don't think Greased Lightning will hurt the paint, but it will at least strip off any wax. I usually wash the front of the vehicle toward the end of the car wash, so that the soap and water has time to soften up the bugs by the time I try to wipe them off.

I heard that using just plain water on love bugs will make the acidity even worse.

Is that true?
