Can I do anything about this exterior damage?

My mother's (soon to be mine) 1995 Toyota Avalon has some exterior damage. Here are some pictures:

I received some bad directions when I was coming home from my family's vacation in the capitol, so I had to do a quick three point turn on a main road while avoiding oncoming traffic. The front passenger side hub cap rubbed against the cement on the side of the road, scratching it and leaving a white substance that you can see in the picture.

There is a similar scratch on the rear driver side hub cap. It happened one day several years ago and has been there since then.

Several damages occurred in parking lots when the car was parked. Unfortunately, my mother was not around the car and the people that did them did not leave their insurance information.

The following is a dent on the passenger's side. It might not be apparent but it is centered in the picture and it has a white steak in the center of it.

The next one is on the rear bumper. This one also occurred in a parking lot when the car was parked.

Here is a scrap on the driver side of the rear bumper. It happened in a parking lot and it is much more dramatic than the others:

Here is a closer view:

I realize that most of these items are probably things that I cannot fix but there is the white substance on the hub caps and the white steak in the dent. Does anyone know if there is anything I can to remove them, and perhaps if there is anything inexpensive that I can do to fix some of the other items?

For the scratches on thepaint, you should try Meguiar's Scratch X. But I'm not sure about the scratch on the driver side rear bumper.

I don't think any of that can be fixed with any detailing products. The wheel damage looks like deep scratches, and so does the paint damage. If the damage is through the base coat then there's pretty much nothing you can do except touch it up or get it repainted. If I were you I would either leave it alone and not worry about it, or take it to a body shop and have it all professionally fixed.

So is your opinion that removing the cement residue would make the hub caps look worse?

Also, there is that white streak in the dent above the wheel. It appears to be superficial, so would it be possible to remove that, or would it still be a better idea to leave it alone?

Remove the cement. Some aluminum polish might help a little too.

You can probably remove some or all of that white scuff on the paint with some polish. A buffer would help a lot.

A good polish and wax over the whole car would certainly help its appearance. You can at least do that much without much investment.

As a rule of thumb, if you can feel that stracth with your finger nail, then its down to the paint. It cant be buffed out. You need touch up paint, a new piece, or a new paintjob. Visit a detailing studio to see what they can do for you. If you cant feel it with your finger nail, then it can surely be buffed out. Yours will probably not be able to be done by hand though. They need a power buffer. Again, get a detail.

As for the cement, DO NOT USE ALUMINUM POLISH. It most take your clear coat of. Again, you should go to a detailing studio. They use a very strong acid that wont ruin the clear, oddly enough.

I wouldnt trust the online DIY detailing tips that you can find around. They usually do not explain well enough, or are things that are too technical to handle by someone that isnt experienced in detailing.

I'd replace the center cap...but the one on ebay?? Not a very good rating!! You have the same color as my coupe "Magena" 3L3...The color shows minor scratches worse than Black IMO...I used the synthetic wax "ICE", its clear. It temporarly covered my paint defects. If you want "perfect"...paint it!.

This is after a application of Turtle Wax ICE The front bumper is actually chipped to hell with pits, bug guts!
