Alcantara vs suede

Whats the difference between the two? I'm saving up for some seats, either sparco milano 2 with alcantara or recaro speed with suede and i have no idea whats the difference between the two materials. My question that pertains to detailing is how to care for these materials..or should i invest my money into another fabric on the seats?

I think Alcantara might be cheaper and little more durable. Care for it, just like you would with suede.

I would personally go for the alacantara and then flock the dash/steering column. Those are my plans for my project cam.

Well according to modified mag, in the issue where they put the status seats in the tc. they stated that alcantara is stain proof, water resistant and very durable. So thats the only reason why i asked, cuz if thats true i really want somethign that can withstand any abuse, not that i even drink water inmy car.

Water and a microfiber towel is the way to clean suede. It’s the most difficult surface to maintain, and I’d recommend against having it at any expense!
