Just picked up my new Tacoma

Hello Everyone,

I picked up my new Indigo Pearl Tacoma last week and I'm ready to give its first bath.

Now I don't have a lot of free time to spend detailing the truck each weekend but I want to give it a good initial protective coat. I'm thinking of a good wash using Sonus Gloss Shampoo (I plan on buying the Ultimate Wash kit from Autopia), then a treatment of Klasse All-In-One followed by a coat (or two) of P21S wax. I plan on doing all the work by hand, I don't trust myself with a buffer on the new paint.

Is there anything I'm missing? Suggestions?

I use exactly the same stuff you are going to purchase, the ultimate wash comes with the ultimate drying towel right? That thing works great, leaves no water spots. Klasse Super Glaze will give you a little more depth, P21S is a great wax but I swear I have to apply it every two weeks.

That sounds like a pretty good routine. But don't expect the p21s to last long. If you're not a serious detailer then you might want to stick with synthetic waxes. You could just do the Klasse AIO and then the Klasse Glaze and be done with it. Also, Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection is a good synthetic wax that looks great on dark paint.

Do you have a good wash mitt and a couple buckets? I really like the OXO oval buckets.
