Welcome to TN! Dirt roads will work against your plans, but you can definitely help it.
Have you read about clay bars? You can't assume that just because your car is brand new, the finish is clear of contaminants. It may have traveled by boat, train or truck to get to you, and could be in need of some cleaning. Without going into tons of detail, surface prep is more important than waxing and sealing for the overall look of your paint. If you really want to get her lookin good, invest in a clay bar kit, a paint cleanser product, and an orbital polisher. Get the base coat in tip-top shape, then finish it off with a sealant or wax to bring out the shine and depth (and to keep the dirt road dust from settling on your coat).
Check out Pb's detailing stickys for all the details, but that's my summarized advice.
