What kind of wax would be best?

What kind of wax shall I get for a lighter colored paint? I have a Sequoia '06 (Desert Sand color) and thinking of waxing it soon. I need anyone's advice on what would be a best wax to use in these kind of color. I heard of P21S Carnauba wax that it is really a good wax to use. But aren't they only good on darker colored paint? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, do quick detailing in your car removes the wax? Thank you !!!

Quick detailer doesn't not remove the wax....I use NXT or #16 from meguiar's, #16 they don't make it anymore so NXT would be your choice, nice wet looking finish...

good luck

I never had my SUV clayed since I bought it last year. Thanks to T.N., I really learned a lot. Anyway, I'm thinking to clay and wax it sometime of these month. I'm waiting for my Mother's Clay kit , Klassey AIO, and Klasse SG to come in. Just ordered it today. It just takes so much time to do a very good detail in my SUV since its big. But I'll do it slowly but surely though.

Do yyou have a buffer or are you doing it by hand? A buffer will speed things up a bit but you still need to wait 24 hours after layers of Klasse AIO and SG.

As for NXT wax, do not use this after putting AIO and SG. NXT wax is a cleaner wax and can remove some of the Klasse product. Use Meguiars #16 Hi Tech Yellow Wax or Mother's California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax (not cleaner wax).

Read about the P21S Carnauba Wax from PB. I would like to try that with my Klasse. Any idea on when I can apply these carnauba wax?

The general consensus is that you wash, clay, AIO, SG, then wax and that you should wait 24 hours after AIO and 24 hours after SG.

is the sealant glaze applied just like wax (or the AIO?)

Right now, I'm using Mother's Gold California Carnuba Wax. I have a darker coloured car (Tideland Pearl). What's a good way to increase depth. The wax gives it a nice glossy finish but I'd like to have a deep wet finish (which I assume is possible with a darker coloured car)

You apply the sealant after using the AIO. The glaze makes your paint more shinier. But if you do want to make a more deep wet finish, use a Carnuba wax. Try P21S Carnuba wax. I bet you'll be very happy.

Generally, carnauba looks good on any color. Synthetic wax looks good on lighter colored paints and provides longer lasting protection than carnauba.

There are some very nice synthetics that can look just as good as a carnauba to most people.

My current favorite synthetic is Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection
My favorite carnauba is P21S. Soon I'm going to try adding PolyCharger to P21S to increase its durabilty. This should make up for P21S' lack of durability. P21S can be melted and mixed with PolyCharger.

+1. The benefit of the lighter color is that it's easier to get the best out of the paint without alot of specialty waxes. If I were you, I'd spend some time prepping the paint with Clay and polish/cleanser, and then put a nice synth sealant on it (I use 4Star too). It'll look great, and will last alot longer than carnauba.
