How long to keep wax before wiping it off?

Quick question for everybody. When you applied wax into your car, how long do you keep it before wiping it off? Is it half hour or about a hour? I just don't want to apply a wax then wipe it right away. I feel like I'm wasting the wax that I put on. Any advice? Thanks!

Until it hazes up alittle not more than 3-4 minutes.

Follow the directions, some waxes are very difficult to remove if left on to long.

Good thing to know! I'm thinking to use Klassey AIO then top that with P21S Carnauba wax for deep detail. Then Im not sure if I still have to use a sealant to complete all. What will be a good sealant to use? Or do I really need to use a sealant?

With over-the-counter stuff that says something to the effect of "let dry to a haze" that can mean anywhere from 3 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the product and environmental conditions.

Generally, if you let it haze and wipe it with your finger, it should come off cleanly; if it doesn't, it's not "done" yet.

Be sure wax-on and wax-off in sections so you'll not regret having to remove hard-as-rock wax that you applied first and waited until you got the whole car done before going back and trying to remove.

Talking

Most sealants have a 24hour water free cure time but I think you can buff off the residue before then

You know I use all Meguiar's products and I do the whole car with Gold class or NXT or #16 and let it set, of course It's a thin coat, you don't need a thick coat and remember to use a nice microfiber...Also to have a nice proteccion and nice look you need a nice base. You may want to start from scratch, wash, clay, polish and wax and latter just maintain the wax..Where do you live in Ca, Meguiar's gives detailing classes and they are great..Check it out
