IOM, I would wait like another month since your car still has a wax on it from the manufacturer. I would just car wash it. Or maybe just use a quick detailer. There are bunch of quick detailer product out there. The one I use is Meguair quick detailer. Sonus are also good but little bit expensive than Meguair. I would like to try Sonus once I ran out with Maguiar. Hope these will help.
No reason to postone waxing on a new vehicle, and even claying is a good idea to do. I really like FX SynWax -- as a synthetic, it's gentle on your bra and doesn't show build-up along the edges like a traditional cleaner wax tends to do.
The past two vehicles I've owned had clear bras.....P21S works great on it, leaves ZERO white residue. If you use regular wax you'll get a white line where the bra meets the paint, been there done that.
If you do end up with that white line all you need to do is pick up a detailing brush, they are also usefull for getting wax residue out of cracks between body panels, around door molding, door handles and around emblems.
"P21S works great on it, leaves ZERO white residue" what is that? sorry for my lack of knowledge, i only know of waxes of what they sell at a store like "canadian tire" its sorta like a walmart thingy, my local speed shope carries maguirs products in detail, like some sort of steps program... i'm coming from used to wash car in shade with mitt, then chamois dry, then apply wax, and cheese cloth that wax off, them armor all the inside and tires
u guys have down pack like a relious ritual, WOW i'm very impressed
i think the bestest wax and most expensive at the time, i ever used was something called zymol, was light blue liquid smell like coconut....
the hardest but longest lasting wax i used was turtle wax pure carnuba "hard shell" i think it was called, was freaking long to put on, was alike a hard paste and a b!tch to take off.. after hours of rubbing and buffing it was a nice finish...
bet y'all be laughing at me ... but i'm willing to learn new things

Polish and wax the film just like you do your paint. The best way to get wax out of cracks and emblems is to use a small detailing brush. It´s so much easier than trying to clean out the wax/polish with the tip of your finger. I have several brushes, soft to stiff. Meguiars makes some good detailing brushes. Google it.

^^What PB said....
As for the white residue, some waxes will leave a white residue on the edge of the clear bra, looking like a white line. It really is no big deal to get off, but if you want save a minute or two you won't have to do it.
