How bad is it? If you don´t have the money to let a pro do it then you might be able to do it yourself if you have some strong arms and plenty of time. Read through the detailing DIY sticky and then test polish an area by hand and see if that works for ya.
i know this is well over a year old but the paint really starting to annoy me now so here is what it looks like.
its dirty from the sprinklers/wind/dirt in the air but you can still see that the paint really doesnt have any shine to it. so is this workable? if it is what should i use?

You have some paint failure. A polish job will take away some of the dullness, but you have lots of spots where the paint is gone, or almost gone. I'd get it repainted.
