Seeking advice on wax/polish: Griot's Garage?

Greetings:

New to TN, and having fun posting and browsing the forum. I should be taking possession of a 2007 Corolla LE next week, and this time around will take washing and detailing seriously. PC 7424 in future, with autopia applicators.

This leads me to polishes and waxes. Griot's sells polish in 4 grades, for use with the 7424. It's water based, not silicone, so it should be much easier to clean out of applicators and whatnot. Isn't cheap, but I'll buy if it is worth the money (things are only expensive if not worth the price). Anyone used the GG polish? Would Meguires be a better polish with 7424, and worry about cleanup later?

Also, GG wax is water based. How they liquify carnuba with water is beyond me, but anyway, does it work well, or better to go with Meguires or other?

Thanks in advance

I don't care for Griots waxes and polishes. They have good protection, but they can be hard to remove, and sometimes leave streaks on dark paint.

But I do like their speed shine, and undercarriage spray.

If I were you I'd go with Sonus or Four Star polishes and wax while we have the group buy discount. Plus they're great products. Many times I will try new polishes, but I usually return back to Sonus. The only time I deviate is when I use PoorBoys products sometimes. But Sonus is the best for noobs. IMO
