I'm getting rid of the Gold Emblems on the coupe! I have Black Chrome emblems in the mail for the grille and Trunk, and I'm highest bidder on C-A-M-R-Y letters for the Center panel! Question is,, How do I make the Camry letters black chrome to match the others?
Is there a special paint or procedure to do this? Thanks in advance for any help

From what I have seen, the 1992-1994 have holes behind the C-A-M-R-Y, the 95-96 are just glued on with no holes. Me thinks the look will wind up being 1 T black pearl emblem up front and 1 T black pearl emblem in the back. The less emblems the better, I debated adding my //TRD emblem because I liked the clean look, but since it's black pearl it goes with the theme of my car.
My 2001 Solara shaved
My 1999 Camry shaved (with and sans //TRD emblem)
I got the black chrome emblems. Nice, but the one for the grille is way to BIG!! I'll put the trunk lid emblem on when It comes back from the mechanic! (I'll let ya know if I have pegs under the camry letters) KYB"S and HR sports, gettin done!
BTW...I see you removed those black door edge guards.....good idea!!..I like the wheels tho! hahah!!

LOL!!...I understand your dought LOL....but no way..The Big "T" is like 4/25" horizonal, and 3.25" vertical...Its packaged "front emblem"... yea for a Gen 5...The rear is the same size, as I have now, so it'll be used! Not a problems tho, I'll find a chrome one to paint for the front somewhere!!..Its only 2" by 3.5

I just thought maybe the paint (Brand = VHT Nightshade) would work. Its used for smoking your lights so i assumed since light can pass through you may get a reflection through it as well.
Joe,
Why not just paint your existing gold front emblem to black? Why bother finding a silver one to paint over? Maybe if you give the paint shop a black pearl emblem, they could paint the front one you have now to match?
Well, I can paint the gold (and still may), but somewhere, someone, wants the gold emblem package for a Gen 3.5!! LOL...Tryin to keep the set together!...remember, OEM 24ct gold,(plate) with orginial paperwork!!...I saw some on Ebay for 150 bucks for a landcruiser!! WTF.......So thats what I'm thinking for now....they could help me pay for the KYB's and springs....(Yes I decided to replace the struts too, to be on the safe side) LOL
Always appreciate the advise and ideas Jon..thanks!

Besides KYB what other brands are available for your car? KYB's seem to cater towards stock ride/springs. Tokico's are more performance oriented (at least for my generation Camry).
