Rough Paint ?

I recently had a new bumper put on and painted at a local autobody shop. When washing my car yesterday i noticed the paint surface was kind of rough. It looks fine but feels rough to the touch. Should i go back and maybe have them wetsand and buff it?

Also one more quick question. I have the TRD exhaust on my car which over the winter has gotten dirty and got spots and speckles of road tar, any way to get all that off and shine it up a bit more?

It's probably overspray. An area where they didn't mask off the car good enough and some paint mist got on the car. A clay bar kit will remove the overspray, But you might as well take it back to the body shop and let them fix it for free.

Spray some WD-40 on the tar and let it soak a little. Then wipe it off. Once it's gone you might want to add some shine to the exhaust tip with some chrome polish.

try peanut butter. I kid you not. (creamy works.. since I don't think you want to rub actual nuts on the exhaust tip... that sounded bad hahaha).

Anyway, peanut butter works very well with road tar. I used it to remove it from my paint. Also helps remove wax on black plastic (e.g. around the base of the windshield or the door frame or your black handles) if you accidently rubbed wax onto those areas.

The oil in the peanut butter is what makes it work. It's a lot easier to just use WD-40, unless you like playing with peanut butter.

And when you use peanut butter on trim it will eventually turn white again once the oil in the peanut butter evaporates. To get wax out of textured plastic I use alcohol and toothbrush and then coat with 303 Aerospace Protectant.
