Good Hose and nozzle

Lots of people overlook their hose and nozzle, but having a good hose and nozzle can make washing a lot more enjoyable.

A fireman style nozzle will flow a lot more water than the usual piston grip sprayers. I just bought this one in an order of stuff I got with our 20% discount. This thing is nice. It makes a big difference. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/bai-hn-10c.html

Then for a hose I like to use this one from Lowes. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...-50&lpage=none

And these quick disconnects. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...CGF&lpage=none

im a big fan of the old school gardena quick connects, my ancient swan no-kink hose, and one of those fireman nozzles....the hose is great cause i have to lug it from the side of my house, down a hill to my driveway

I bought some quick-disconnects at Home Depot that automatically shut off when you disconnect them, but they seem to really significantly reduce the flow. Are the ones you mentioned non auto-shutoff?

Naw. I don't like those. It's a nice idea, but they are too restrictive. Are they plastic? I stay with brass.

They were actually brass, so I thought maybe they'd be ok, but you're right, they are way too restrictive. Back to Lowe's for me.

Here's my washing and drying stuff. Hose, filter, softener, bucket, mitt, nozzles, soap foam gun, tire brushes, and boars hair brush. I only use that big boars hair brush on tall vehicles or when it's too cold to use a wash mitt. If I didn't have the soap foam gun then I would be using 2 buckets. One for soapy water, and one for rinsing.
