wax and carnuba?

ok, i just bought some meguiar's gold class liquid wax, and now i just read that on black vehicle(which is what i have) that applying carnuba makes the paint shine that much more, would you apply this by itself or after using the liquid wax?
btw, if wax is a little difficult to buff off, can you use quick detailer to moisten it up some and then buff it off, or would that mess up the wax job?

If one is a cleaner wax and the other is a pure wax, the cleaner wax should go on first. Cleaner wax has some polish in it, so it will remove some of whatever you put down before it.

Gold Class is a cleaner wax and has carnauba wax in it. It might be mixed with synthetic waxes, I'm not sure.

If you want a pure carnauba wax, the only two I know of that you can get at most stores are: Mother's California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax and Meguiar's #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax.

If you have the choice, always go with a paste wax over a liquid wax. The paste version usually has a higher concentration of carnauba in it.
