removing paint overspray ?

i have tiny dots of paint all over the car x.x
i tried to clay it but it didn't remove it (meguiars consumer clay bar)
so i was going to polish the car to remove the overspray and the light scratches in the paint

now.. how do i get the spray dots off the windows ? =\
clay bar didn't work.

thanks for ur help

ps. since polishing removes ur paint/clearcoat little by little, wouldn't ur paint/clearcoat be sanded off in like 5 years if u polish twice a year ?

Razor blade it off the windows. Maybe use Windex to make scraping easier.

How hard did you rub the clay? How long have the dots been there?

No, you won't remove your clearcoat in 5 years, if you use a orbital buffer.

they've been there for a month or two. i didn't notice till recently >< ugh

and the beige paint is over the black convertible top too.. im going to sell that car in a few years so im juss gonna clean it up, and wash/remove swrils/polish/wax then just leave it in the garage starting it once in a while.

so before i start polishing it.. i wanna remove all the spray dots.
.. so im going to polish the car with a light abraisave to remove light swirls and hopefully it'll remove the overspray on the paint. then razor the glass. iunno what to do with the convertible top. i guess i can't DIY the convertible top...

btw i rubbed the clay medium-ishly hard

any better ideas on how to remove the spray ?
thanks for ur help

Rub harder, more vigorously and work in a small area before moving on to the next area.

You could also try an "Aggressive" clay... generally available at detailer's shops, paint shops and enthusiast stores. Meguiar's offers one in their Pro line and it works pretty good for those tough problems. Expect to pay about $25. I hear NAPA also offers one.
