remove dust/pollen with swiffer?

i was thinking about it today and i was wondering if the swiffer wipes would work on a car application? or would the material scratch the paint?

You can use a swiffer on your interior or engine compartment, but I wouldn't use it on the paint. You can get a California Duster though.

Many say the California duster can swipe more and more dirt and dust across your car and cause micromarring. I have it, and don't really like it too much.

I'd just say use a quality microfiber towel with some decent Quik Detailer, any brand name one would work, ie Meguiar's or Mothers for OTC stuff.

I got sick of washing my car so I got a car cover, much easier now. I like my cover from empire covers, its light weight and the pollen blows off the cover.

Avoid the CA Duster or Swiffer. Once those get super clogged with crap, it'll scratch your paint. The only "duster" I'd use is a high quality wool duster, and thats only if its light dust. Anything else, I'd ONR or wash off

'Nother fan of the CA duster. This is what I use for pollen build up for the first couple of days after a detail.

I am always using Swiffer to clean the interior of my car but I actually never thought about using it on the outside. I would not recommend using Swiffer because I think it will not really clean the car and in worst case the Swiffer will leave scratches on the car. I have also a Californian Car duster and this gadget is great. So better use something like this and not the Swiffer.
