Okay, here's the dilemma. This weekend is gonna be nice, so I want to wash, and wax my truck, to get rid of the swirls. Now, a few years ago, for my anniversary, my wife got me a RO buffer. From all the reading I've been doing, I've been using it wrong, no surprise

, but now I'm a little better armed for the task at hand. This is basically what I have
Now, I know the Porter Cable 7232 is the weapon of choice for most people here, but can I use this to get similar results? Some of the differences are the fact that instead of a hook and loop, it uses a foam base and you change the hats. I can get different applicators to stretch over the base, and I know which ones to use now. I'm just curious as to whether this will work for my needs or not. It orbits at about 800-900rpm, and is a really reliable machine. Is there any special techniqes I need because it's not a polisher, but a buffer?
