windshield chip

i was driving on the highway, and then all of a sudden i hear a pebble hitting the windshield. it left a little chip mark on the windshield.

is there any type of liquid or compound i can use to patch it up?

They use a clear epoxy to prevent the windshield from cracking any further. I had mine done at a windshield place for free. My insurance covered it. It's been 5 yr since I had it done and it's holding pretty good. The only bad thing about it is that you can see the chip.

i used fix a windshield (by fix a flat) worked great.

i saw a dot where it was, but it filled in the hole.
