More abrasive polish??

So I was giving my other car a nice wash + polish + wax job, because the previous owner of the car didn't baby the car much, lots of swirls and scratches. I was using the SFX-3 by Sonus along with the PC I bought from the group buy, hoping the polish is abrasive enough to cut into the swirls and scratches... it kinda made it less obvious, but in a well lit place and at the right angle, it is very noticeable...

I was wondering if I proceed to use more abrasive polish is the next step I should take?? Or keep using the SFX-3 but at higher speed?
Or the wax will fill in the swirls and seal the scratches??

What's another polish I should consider using if the SFX-3 won't do the job?

Thanks guy.

SFX3 should fix just about any swirls. The issue is probably not the polish. You need to add more pressure, and more buffer speed. Move the buffer slower, and really work the polish. There's a technique to it. You just need more practice.

Fix the swirls with the polish. Don't try to cover them up with wax.
