That's what happens with a water-based dressing -- add more water (like rain or dew) and bad things happen. I use 303 on the interior only for this reason. I use Original Armor-All watered down a bit for tires, bed rails, and mirrors. It works better.
Don't laugh about the Original AA, either. It's a legit product (unlike all of the other AA products) that protects well without promoting drying or cracking (again, unlike their other products). It's also cheaper and more widely available than most other rubber treatments.
