What color is your car? #7 is a pure polish.. that is its just oils on the paint which can add extra depth and gloss especially in dark colors... its great to top with a carnuba wax like M26. But on lighter cars its hard to tell the difference. Also is your surface well prepared(clayed, polished to remove swirls, etc).
I think that your polishing technique matters more than the polish you're using, but the specific polish you use does matter. Most people need a better technique, not a better polish.
I use PoorBoys and Sonus polishes. I do a finish polish with Sonus Swirlbuster, and get amazing results.
For wax I like Nattys Red, PoorBoys EXP, Four Star UPP-PolyCharged.

sounds like some high quality stuff ! i might give those a try. i heard turtle wax caranooba-something was pretty mediocre. so i didnt touch the stuff. i think ill try the ones
you mentioned pb.
I'm using my Porter Cable 7424 buffer. Since my paints fairly new it doesn't have too many swirl marks yet so i'm going with the white polishing pad on speed 3 spread it and upping it to 4 in 2'x2' sections.
Maybe i'm expecting too much from the speedway blue color because on my grey acura the color looks so much better from the same product. I'm probably going to try out some higher end polishes and see if I can get better results

I'm not using the white pad that came with the buffer Its still sitting unopened. I bought a kit from proper autocare a couple years back. I'd like to invest more in waxing pads but they're too expensive and I can't afford it at the moment, I just want to buy a couple of good products for around $50 and call it a day.
i'm looking to buy better products but I don't know what's good and whats not. I don't want to throw away my money on products that don't work well.

I sell an 8-ounce bottle of polish that will handle ANY polishing job for $13.95. The wax I sell (spray carnauba) is $14.95. Shipping will cost you $2.99.
These products have a 30-day money-back guarantee. See my website for details and testimonials. I have not had one unhappy customer yet!

Zaino Z2-Pro and ZFX.
Z-8 Grand Finale after you try the Z2 and can't stand not having the next step up.
I've used the Zaino system before. It is a great system. Very shiny and extremely durable. It doesn't work on all colors for my taste though, so I haven't used it much on my cars. I've had other people request it though, so I use it on theirs. Great stuff.
On my vehicles I use Wolfgang Paint Sealant. Obviously the wax/sealant is only as good as the prep work, so my cars are always clayed and polished before using. I've used a lot of products in my day and this is the first and only one that I've used where I see an instant difference in appearance. Some sealants take multiple layers before you really start to see the 'wow' effect, but WG does it in one coat. I'm constantly amazed by the appearance and slickness of this product. I'll use other products too depending on the color and shape of the car, but Wolfgang is my current favorite. The downside is that it is kind of pricey at $30 bucks a bottle, but the upside is that one bottle will get you thirty or forty coats, so that turns out to not be so bad.
I've never used Zaino but I've heard great things about it on CT. However, I have to ask, is it as difficult to apply as their web site makes it sound or is the guy who wrote the page talking way too much?
