Trash the TW rubbing compound it'll just put scratches in your paint.
Get some meguiar's scratchx
NXT is a great wax.
Not to be a meguiar's pusher but check out meguiars.com FAQ and meguiarsonline.com if you REALLY wanna get serious about your taco. I know I am about mine. lol. Good luck man.

Also I suggest pickin up some deep crystal paint cleaner or at least using a cleaner wax before using NXT(what I would finish with) taht way it will clean up any oxidation and mild scratches. ScratchX will take care of any noticeable ones work it in with some passion! And get some foam applicator pads.

I would drop all the Turtle Wax stuff, but that's just me.

I would do:

-wash
-clay (make sure you use lots of detailer)
-wash
-polish
-sealant (optional)
-wax x how many coats you'd like

then touch up any spots with detailer and buff to a shine

End of summer! Say it isn't so!!!

Return the rubbing compound. It is too aggressive and will remove way more paint than needed. It should be a crime to sell that stuff!

Clay in one direction, so you can recognize a scratch pattern (if you made one). Make sure you use the lubricant and follow the directions (it's pretty easy to use).

Only polish the areas that need it, then use the cleaner wax.

I would make other recommendations, but since you already made your purchase, go with what you have!

First you need to READ the detailing sticky. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t126955.html

And don't fall for the retail detailing advertising hype. You bought lots of stuff that you don't need, and you didn't buy some stuff that you do need.

Honestly machine buffing would save you much time because removing swirls by hand= LOTS AND LOTS of work. haha. But good luck! The paint cleanerr is wipe on wipe off. You can wax/seal it right after!
