Wax removal

What should I use to take wax of my corolla? Can I use soft wash clothes, or will that be counter productive?

Doesn't dawn soap take the wax off?

I think there's some confusion here...I'm guessing you dind't mean 'strip the wax off', which is what Dawn will do.

I think you meant 'what do I use to buff after I wax'. If that's the case, you should use microfiber cloths. Cotton can scratch. The worst thing to use is a T-shirt.

Wash your microfiber cloths separately. Cut the tags off because they can scratch your paint (actually more like scuff it, which is what happened to me).

Clay and polish the car. That will remove the wax, paint contaminants, and swirls. Using quality MF detailing towels makes a big difference. Using bathroom towels is why many people's paint is covered in swirls.

Microfiber Cloths

Walmart, Target and other big stores have decent deals on microfibers. They come in all sizes. I get mine at Costco, but you have to buy 36 at a time there.

Some guys like the huge ones, but I like the medium-sized ones better.

If you can't find a good deal on some, I sell a dozen 16" x 16" for $15.95 plus $2.99 shipping. That's about $1.33 each.
