have to wax after using nu finish

I've been reading other peoples post on how they wax after they polish their car. I've been using nu finish for a while and do I need to wax?

Nu Finish? I didn't know it's still being made.

You using a really old product now, considering all the new products out there today.

During that time, it was a good polish to use on the car but I will not recommend it now though.

No need to wax after using Nu Finish. Nu Finish is actually a wax, even though Nu Finish calls it a polish. (I hate when they do that). Polish and wax are totally different products, but most people don't know the difference.

Polish cleans and repairs paint damage.
Wax protects and adds gloss.

Yeah me too.

They also claim they are the only product without carnauba...which I find hard to believe. Here's a quote from their site:

Neither Nu Finish Liquid nor Nu Finish Paste Car Polish contain carnauba waxes. No other liquid or paste products can make that claim!

OK; end of Nu-Finish bashing.

Most experts agree that no wax shines better than carnauba. No, it doesn't last as long as synthetics, but it looks the best.

It all comes down to what's most important to the user.

You people that like NuFinish, what other waxes have you tried? NuFinish might seem great, if all the other waxes you've tried were not good waxes.

LOL. Well, sure. It's great compared to no wax at all.

Try some other waxes and you might not like NuFinish as much.

You guys really need to try some non-retail waxes. There's lots better stuff than what's on the shelves at AutoZone.

Well, I've tried Mothers, Turtle Wax etc. but since I've been using NuFinish for over 10 years on 2 black cars and 2 white cars and have had great results, I'm just comfortable and satisfied w/ the product. I'm sure there are better waxes out there but I have never taken any of my cars to a detailer and yet I have 12 year old paint that still shines like new.

Yes, I too use NuFinish. Im not one of those people that waxes a car every weekend, thats why I use NuFinish. Besides that, a very good friend of mine that owns his own glass-tinting/auto-detailing business suggested it. He said, its one of the better lest expensive ways to get long lasting shine. Of course, this was over 6 months ago. I know that my wife's neglected paint on her silver 2001 4-Runner still shines like a crazy diamond using NuFinish.
