I've had my Tundra for about six months and no matter what I do I cant seem to remove this haze build up on the inside of the windshield, this in conjunction with the massive amounts of dead bugs on the outside is making it perilous to drive!
I've tried Maguires glass cleaner, regular windex, washing with just water, removing with a paper towel, a regular towel, a microfiber towel and newspaper. It seems to only last a few days. I don't use the A/C (obviously no heat either).
I read somewhere that the sun hits the dash (which is plastic of course) and thats what causes the haze, is this true? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
I had a problem like that in my Camry, I think someone used Armor-All on the inside windshield Everytime it would rain and the humidity would change kinda quick, the inside would seem like it would fog up; you could wipe it clear but then it was like whatever was on it was absorbing the condensation and fogging up again. I ended up taking Formula 409 and a kinda rough-feeling towel before it started coming off.

Sounds like outgassing of some sort. Is it only on the windshield or do the other windows get affected? Do you use anything on your dash?
I've had that same problem with Armor-all. As mentioned, it off-gasses a plastic-like film onto the windshield.
chiming in I get the same thing and I use a trim protectant as well afterwards so I have the film on 99% of the time but can usually live through it, would be interesting if there'd be a way to get rid of it

Only the windshield is affected. I have never used anything on my dash, only a duster. Its strange and really annoying, once I wiped it with my hand and well that made it a hundred times worse , now I just keep a dry mircofiber towel in the truck to wipe it, but its becoming a real pain. Thanks for the replys.

I wonder if the dealer applied some cheap stuff to the dash and it is still outgassing?
I would try a cleaner on the dash that leaves nothing behind to see if you can remove what's there, if that is indeed the cause. Sorry; I don't have a recommendation (I actually use the wax I sell for my dash but don't know if it will help your situation).
I've used lots of stuff on my dash and never had that problem. I feel for you though...sounds like a royal pain!
Try a cotton towel and very hot tap water with about a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol in a gallon of water to wash the inside of the windows. Dry with another cotton towel.
