hey guys i clayed my car this past weekend but i didnt have time to polish and/or wax her. im going on a trip for a week and a half so i wont have any time to polish and/or wax. is this ok? i know the paint isnt being "protected" but if im not driving it, it shouldnt be that bad, right?

Is she going to be outside or inside?

If she's outside, even in a carport, this is not OK, IMHO, especially in NYC (my grandmother used to live in Glendale and the 'dust' was black).

If she's inside, that's better, but you can still get pollution and fallout landing on the paint. You might want to clay again when you return.

...and may I suggest my Spray Carnauba Wax? I waxed my truck in 25 minutes last night. No stain, no mess, no rubbing little circles...applies like a QD and buffs off almost as easy.

I'd try to at least put something on it. It's not going to damage the paint, but it'll make it easy for new contaminants to stick to your paint, and waste all that claying you just did.

It takes me less than an hour to wax a car. You don't have a single hour to spare?

Just do a real quick wax on the obvious areas

The upwards facing panels (hood, roof, trunk) are the most critical.

do a quick coat of wax on the paint. By claybaring the surface, you've pretty much removed all the protection of the previous wax. Even if it's just the regular turtle wax, it'll be fine. At least have something on it. When you do have time to do the car properly, you should reclay your car and start with a clean slate for proper product adhesion.
