Poorboy's Sealants

What does everyone think about them? There's one with and one without the carnuba wax. Any comments on either of those two? Thanks!

I haven't used the sealants, but the swirl removers and a few other products are really quite good. The Natty's Wax has almost a cult following amongst detailing enthusiasts. I never really thought it was that great, but I guess my eyes just aren't tuned right. I will say that the sealants and waxes (other than Natty's) don't get much play on detailing centered boards out there. I'm thinking they are nice looking, but there are better options out there. I'm a huge fan of the Spray N Wipe and Bold N Bright products. The SSRs are great too, but I can't live without those other two.

I use their stuff all the time. I perfer EX (carnauba) over the EX-P (Synthetic). EX gives a little deeper shine, but it is probably not as durable as EX.

I apply it thin with a soft buffing pad on my PC.

Bold N' Bright is the tire dressing I use most. It's thin stuff. I spray it on a Eagle One Tire Swipe and wipe it on the tires. Not too greasy.

Spray N Wipe is a great QD for a dusty car. It also seems to have a little cleaning power, which is good for helping you wipe off some bugs on the front of your car.

Spray N Gloss is a great QD. Easy to wipe on and off. Not oily, and won't leave streaks that need to be buffed off. Pretty slick. Not much durability, but I don't apply QDs for protection. I use QDs for making the paint look good when it's not dirty enough to require a full wash. I usually dilute a bottle of Spray and Gloss 1:1 with water and it still works good.

PoorBoys Wheel Sealant

Nattys Blue

Nattys Red

I like all the PoorBoys SSR polishes. I use SSR 2.5 the least. I use SSR3 and SSR1 the most.

Bug Squash Works great in a small bucket of wash water. Presoak the bugs with it and scrub a little.

It isn't necessary to use anything specific for wheels. They are just painted, after all. Any paint sealant will do what any wheel sealant will do. Personally I haven't found any wheel treatment that does anything different than a normal paint treatment.

PoorBoys Wheel sealant smells good, but doesn't last long on the wheels. Klasse AIO is pretty good for wheels. It seems to stand up the heat pretty good, but don't expect it to last longer than a couple months. Wheels get hot, and that's hard on any sealant/wax.

How much time will a sealant last on rims as compared to the body,I go crazy on my TRD Alloys with sealant I want them extra protected because they tend to get a dirty look to them the dirt gets into the pores on the rim and its tough to get out. I just washed and resealed my Tacoma this weekend and I cant getover how much better it looks after appling another coat of sealant, glossier, mirror like shine even for a light metallic silver color I'll never use wax again. Most people dont want the extra work of preping the body with clay then seal, they just want to wax and go but the results arent going to be there.

It's hard to tell how long it will last. Too many variables.

Claying and polishing will make your LSP (Last Step Product) look better, no matter if it's wax or a sealant. Most people concentrate on the LSP, when what makes the most difference is how you prep the surface before you apply the LSP.
