Mr.Clean Autodry System..

So..I love it, works great, wanted to know what others opinions were..

Also anyone try different soap yet that works just as well? (if not better)

There's gotta be someone making cheap alternatives to the Refills (soap + filter)...

i have the pro version, used it, it's ok. still had water spots on wife's dark blue civic. my camry is silver so water spots aren't so much a visible issue. i had to go to a stand-alone filter/softener for the outdoor faucet from autogeek.net to get rid of the nasty water problems. i have not found cheaper filters or refill soap but imagine you could use any kind of soap you want.

I don't like the Mr Clean Autodry soap, it's sticky and it dirties up my wash mits permanently. Smells good though.

I find that it takes longer to spray the de-ionized water on the car than it does to dry it with a good waffle weave microfiber towel. So I tossed the Auto Dry in the back of the garage.

The MrClean filters don't last long enough, and the MrClean soap has alcohol in it to help speed the drying time. Alcohol is not good on your wax job.

I prefer to use a water filter system, soap gun, sheepskin wash mitt, and a waffle weave drying towel. The water filter system doesn't leave it totally spot-free, but it makes it a lot easier to dry off the car. One towel will do the job.

The system is crap. The only thing it proves is that if you put a wax or something greasy in the wash, then a slow stream of water will rinse it off without leaving spots. If your car is waxed then you can wash it with a normal bucket of soap and run a slow stream of water over it and just watch what it does. The system is just a way for Mr. Clean to make more money. It really isn't doing anything that washing a waxed car wouldn't do.
