Bug stain removal

I wash my truck once a week religously, but after this weekend I noticed several orange stains on the bumper of my Tacoma from dead bug guts. I did a search on the forums, but most of the replies deal with how to wash the dead bugs bodies off your car. Here's what I've tried; bug/tar remover, clay bar, wheel cleaner, Meguiars scratch X, Simple Green Extra, Cleaner Wax, and finally rubbing compound and quick detailer spray. I even took a buffer to it with no luck . Short of sanding the paint off and wasting more money on cleaning products, I'm out of ideas. Maybe I'm not putting enough elbow grease into it . I just waxed the bumper two weeks ago using Meguiars NXT wax so I don't get why I'm having an issue with the stains so soon. If you have had success removing stains from paint, I'd love to hear it.

That's bizarre. I'd like to see some pictures.

BTW, don't use rubbing compound on your paint. It's WAY too aggressive.

Bugs and guts

Good luck

I have an 06 Avelon and here in the south we have a seasonal problem with swarming love bugs. I could not remove the resulting stains from my hood . Needed a new paint job. The problem is that the acid from the bugs guts, any bugs, will eat into the paint and makes it impossible to remove. The best solution is to get your car or truck washed ASAP and frequently.

If you can post pictures that'd help. For the really really gross dried bug guts I've sat down and clay'd them till they came off then just reapplied wax and polish.
