Never heard of that product, although the Meguiars Plastx I used works well on yellowed headlights.

No, just a cloth or foam applicator for wax with PlasticX

A buffer would work a lot better than using your hand. I used Novus, it comes in 3 stages, basically going from coarse to fine. Here's a write-up: http://mkiv.com/techarticles/headlights/index.html.

I've never heard of it. But it should be ok, more or less.

Just don't sandpaper it with anything rougher than 1500 grit sandpaper! If you can, avoid sandpapering at all!

PlastX actually works wonders by itself, I used it on my other lights and they buffed out nicer than they looked before.

I got my headlights to look alright after my mistake, though my fingers are blistered a bit. But that's mostly because I have the lens optics, which helps to hide the imperfections.

i agree with everyone else. plastx is the way to go. i cleaned my old 93 cam's headlights with plastx and it made a big difference. i did it by hand also so no, you dont need to use a rotary tool to apply it

You don't need a special polish for plastic
