Dealing with rain

Ok, here's the scenerio. I pull into the garage after a rain. My car was recently waxed, so now it is covered in beaded drops. What do I do to keep my car looking good?:

1) Dry it with mf towel (but the car could have dirt on it, hmmm) ?
2) Dry it, but use quick detail, too?
3) Wait for the drops to dry, then quick detail the whole car?
4) Do nothing and live with the water spots that have formed ?

What do you guys do?

Sometimes I take a towel, lay it down on the water spots and press on it.
I'd like to know if theres some super awesome trick though!

The towel idea seems sound, but like you, I'm looking for that 'awesome trick' or at least the safest thing to do to keep the car lookin good.

In my current mode, I would just chalk it up to mother nature and wait until I could do a proper wash.

I guess it just depends on how dirty the car might be, but I'd be mighty hesitant to just dry it off. Even if the car started off clean, if you drove any distance in the rain, you likely splashed stuff up on the side panels.

At the very least I'd spray some QD on before drying, but I don't use QD unless the car is darn near clean, i.e. just minor dust.

I just ordered some Optimum No Rinse and will be trying it for the first time. If it works as advertised, that might be a safe way to go. Mix up a bucket and do a quick no rinse wash in the garage. If it doesn't work as advertised, then I'll be back to waiting 'til I can do a proper wash in that situation.

Well I'm still curious to hear how the Optimim No Rinse works out with Eddie. I think that could be a good solution. Eddie, is that stuff availible in any brick and morter stores? Or just online?
