Layering wax, issue with waiting.

I understand that synthetic was is the only thing that you can really layer as a second coat of carnub just fills in the voids you missed the first time.

As well, I hear to let the synthetic "cure" for at least 12 hours before applying another coat, BUT, in L.A. Calif, waiting 12 hours puts a layer of film on the car.

So what do you do when this happens and you want to add another layer of synthetic like Klasse?

Wash again then add final finish to get rid of the dust that gets on the car in 12-24 hours?

I would probably just use some detailing spray to get the fine layer of dust off and then use the Klasse. But I'll let others correct me if I'm wrong... which happens more often than not! LOL!

A little Detail Spray and a Microfiber towel is a great wayto get the dust off. Layering synthetic polishes and waxes is, IMHO, a waste of your valuable time.

In LA, you need to wash so often due to the general vicinity of the ocean, the amount of cars on the road, i.e., air pollution. I'm no genius, just a detailer that grew up in So Cal, detailed through high school, then while at USC, detailed for Coca-Cola in Downtown LA.

Iif this vehicle is a driver, and lives outside even 1/2 of each day, you will want to clay, polish, and Wax every 6-8 weeks. Use the energy layering synthetics polishing and detailing, as the contaminants are going to stick to the surface no matter how many coats of sealant you have applied. Just my $.02

Adam, two questions:

1) Do you think it's too much to clay, polish and wax every month (my car lives outside and is a daily driver)?

2) If I polish monthly, will it remove a little layer of clear coat/paint each time I do so, and in time, will I have just bare paint; or is this truly paranoid thinking?

Here's how to tell if you need to clay: Put your fingers in a little plastic bag, and on your CLEAN paint, rub very gently across the surface. Bumpy? Clay it! Smooth? Skip it!

In LA, you will want to clay every month if you want a perfect vehicle, especially if yours lives full time outside. (I'm a nut job, maybe you are too, and want a perfect finish always!)

As for removing a fine layer of clear, don't sweat it. What polish are you using? Stay away from the abrasive stuff, and you'll be good. You coming to our detail event on the 23rd at our warehouse in Torrance? Love to show you what I mean in person!

Thanks,
Adam

Is there any way in God's Green Earth you can come on the 23rd? We have an event at the warehouse that day, and have invited all to come and try products. I'm coming to town for the event, and we'll have several other key team members there. On the days mentioned, we have warehouse staff, bottling, shipping, and doing bookkeeping. Boring stuff, and nobody there to show you products, or even take your money!

Let me know if we need to have a local dealer come meet you there, as I certainly want to earn your business. Otherwise, Saturday, February 23 from 9-noon is the Big Day to come out. Email me if you can't come that day, ad we'll organize a private demo for you. Adam@AdamsPolishes.com.

Cool? Thanks!

I'll be in AZ on that day.

I'll just trust from the positive commentary it's a series of good products and get some online.

Thanks, look forward to using the stuff.

Let's organize a meeting then, as our event clearly doesn't jive with your schedule. Email me at Adam@AdamsPolishes.com and we'll have our local rep meet up at our HQ with you.

Hi name is Larry Dewesse, he's hilarious, and always has business to do at the shop. He certainly won't mind coming by. I look forward to your email, and thanks for a shot at your business. Whichever day and time works easiest for you, let me know and we'll schedule it.

Look forward to your email, and thanks!

Adam,

No need to do all that for me. I prefer not to have anyone do any special demonstrations or assemble a group of folks and I never mingle in crowds or large groups.

I'm a guy who likes to be in the shadows.

You've earned the business already through reputation. I'm committed to getting products.

I will though buy a PC and need accessories in the future.

ER nurse. The buffer between the docs and the people that go into the room all the time.

I guess it depends on the ER you work at, but I work in a LA area ER that's not in such a great area.

I've been threatened by gang members and psych patients. Physically attacked, had all manner of bodily fluids (poop, piss, blood, guts, brains) on me. Been called the worst names in the book and the best nurse they've ever dealt with. Have to deal with the remaining family members once a child or other loved one has died, etc, etc. Definitely not a "normal" job.

I just want to get away from people in general on my days off and spend time by myself.

I'm not burned out in any way. Just need alone time with the bottle and the gun in my mouth. ha ha ha. Just kidding, kind of. My dark humor is coming out.

LOL. After dealing with people for 13 some hours, alone time is needed. I admire ER nurse, some times you have people yellling at you from all sides.. being the buffer. You can find some of the darkest humor from nurse and docs, lol.
