After a hard winter here in Canada, what's the best way to clean and then protect your vinyl wheel cover,I was thinking of removing it, putting it in the washing machine and then treating it with Armorall, any ideas, Thanks Al

Hey alsrav4,

I would suggest using a diluted degreaser or a leather and vinyl cleaner to clean the surface and then follow that up with a vinyl conditioner that offers protection!

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Thanks,

Don't put it in your washer! It'll tear it up. You need some good leather/vinyl cleaner.

In a pinch, Woolite is a good leather/vinyl cleaner. Mix it with 8 parts water to 1 part Original Woolite, and put it in spray bottle or something. Spray it on, wipe it off. Do it a few times. Use a white towel to see the dirt that comes off.

I'd throw away that Armoral. Get some Adam's VRT, or some 303 Aerospace Protectant. Wipe it on with a foam sponge.
